Children treated to special lunch

The De Freitas Foundation (DFF) looks forward to working with Elsburg-based orphanage Angel Care Home.

The De Freitas Foundation (DFF) recently decided to spend some time with the staff and children of Elsburg-based orphanage Angel Care Home.

During the visit the children were treated to a special meal, donated by Cherokee Spur Steak Ranch in Bedfordview.

“Over a number of months DFF has been developing a relationship with the home,” said founder and board member, Manny de Freitas.

The Angel Care Home is an orphanage that cares for infants to teenagers of the age of 17.

The children at this home are treated with kindness and are taught to be responsible and respectful.

“Education is a top priority so that when they leave the home they have a firm foundation for their futures.

“The home has been turned away by government when they applied for a subsidy and are thus completely supported by private funding.

“Our heartstrings were tugged by the children who live at this home,” explained Manny de Freitas.

The DFF team, including Manny and fellow DFF board member Jeanette de Freitas, have visited the home on a number of occasions and are excited to be supporting this orphanage where they believe each child is given individual attention.
