Primrose police arrest 17 in a week

The Primrose police share their latest arrest statistics.

Officers from the Primrose Police Station arrested 17 suspects between July 26 and August 1.

This is according to the latest arrest statistics released by the station.

The accused were arrested for various offences.

Charges included dealing in and possession of drugs, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, common assault, rape, driving under the influence of alcohol, murder, domestic violence and reckless and negligent driving.

The Primrose SAPS station commander, Col Albertina Vesi, thanked everyone who contributed to the successful arrests.

Most of the suspects appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court where some had their cases postponed for various reasons while others paid admission of guilt fines and were released.
