Police and youth desk warn community about problem crimes

Theft of and out of motor vehicles and house break-ins and theft a problem in Woodmere and Primrose East – say police.

The Primrose police continued their efforts to educate the community about crime trends affecting their areas.

Recently officers from the Primrose Police Station and members of the Primrose SAPS Crime Prevention Youth Desk visited Woodmere and Primrose East where theft of and out of motor vehicles, as well as house break-ins and theft, are on the rise.

The team went door-to-door speaking to residents and distributing more than 350 safety tip pamphlets.

“We hope the community will use the information they received during the campaign to their advantage,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

The youth desk members were thanked for the wonderful job they are doing raising awareness about crime in the community.

“We hope our community also appreciates the effort they put in,” said Maome.
