What makes Germiston unique?

Germiston is a very special place, with many unique sights for visitors to enjoy.

There are many facets of a city which make it unique.

Each city has its own character, quirks, accomplishments and atmosphere which add up to making it a place like no other.

Germiston is no different and has a number of aspects which make it unique.

1. It is home to South Africa’s biggest railway junction and repair yards and is also the home of Reefsteamers.

Today the airport, home to the world-renowned Puma Energy Flying Lions Aerobatics Team, accommodates air charter operators, numerous flight schools, a number of aircraft maintenance companies and pilot shops and is home to a host of classic aircraft.

Rand Airport remains one of Germiston’s gems.

5. Germiston has a rich and diverse fraternity of sport including, but not limited to, cricket, baseball, soccer, swimming, athletics, sailing, rowing, canoeing, karate, mixed martial arts, wrestling and rugby.

Germiston’s vibrant stadiums and sports grounds offer people a chance to explore a variety of sports no matter where they are and make some new friends in the process.
