Man nabbed with stolen tyres in Marlands

A man was apprehended by the Primrose police for theft out of a motor vehicle.

A 35-year-old man was recently arrested by the Primrose police for theft out of a motor vehicle.

The arrest was made when the complainant allegedly witnessed the accused removing spare tyres from two vehicles parked at Marlands Court in Marlands.

“The complainant allegedly approached the man and asked him what he was doing.

“He was unable to give an answer and the complainant detained him on the scene and called the police,” explained communications officer for the Primrose police, Sgt Styles Maome.

When police arrived they arrested the man and took him to the Primrose Police Station where he was formally charged.

He will appear in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court soon.
