Two nabbed for possession of a stolen vehicle

Two suspects were apprehended for the possession of a suspected stolen motor vehicle.

While on a routine patrol last Tuesday, officers from the Primrose Police Station noticed a red Toyota Tazz, without registration plates.

Suspicious, they followed the vehicle which sped off when the occupants noticed the police.

“Officers were able to stop the vehicle after a short chase and searched it and the passengers,” said communications officer for the Primrose police, Sgt Styles Maome.

During the search it was discovered that the vehicle had been stolen in Pretoria.4

The two occupants, aged 22 and 23 years old respectively, were arrested and taken to the Primrose Police Station where they were charged with possession of a suspected stolen motor vehicle.

They will appear in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court soon.
