#Power_Alert – Know your load shedding schedule as stage one load shedding is in progress
Eskom confirms that load shedding will be implemented from 11.29am to 9pm.
The generation and distribution of electricity across Eskom’s network is once again constrained today due to the acts of sabotage and intimidation that characterise the current industrial action by members of the trade unions.
Yesterday is was reported that several incidents of road blockades, attacks on staff, and wilful damage to electricity infrastructure had resulted in all road coal deliveries being stopped for security reasons.
This had put strain on the power system and resulted in stage one load shedding being implemented from 5pm to 8pm last night (Thursday).

This morning Eskom confirmed that stage one load shedding would once again be implemented due to further disruptions to the power supply.
