Man nabbed with dagga at Germiston Taxi Rank

The Germiston SAPS apprehended a 33-year-old man for possession of and dealing in dagga.

After receiving an anonymous tip-off, officers from the Germiston SAPS Task Team, arrested a 33-year-old man for possession of and dealing in dagga.

The arrest was made at the Germiston Taxi Rank.

“The suspect was found among a group of people who were washing their taxis,” said Const Maxwell Mabunda, communication head for the Germiston SAPS.

Police searched the man and found a plastic bag full of dagga.

“Officers then accompanied him to his home where they found another five large plastic bags filled with dagga.

“He was arrested and taken to the Germiston Police Station, where he was formally charged,” said Mabunda.

The accused has since appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court.
