Car plummets off bridge in Germiston damaging Metrorail infrastructure
Metrorail has restored train serviceS in the Germiston area.
The Metrorail train service running between Germiston-Kwesine was grounded this morning (Wednesday) due to damaged overhead wires at Webber Station.

A motor vehicle fell from the overhead bridge on Webber Road onto the tracks on Tuesday night damaging overhead power cables and other infrastructural components between Elsburg and India Stations.
All lines were affected as a result and there were no trains running between Germiston and Kwesine this morning.
Technical teams conducted recovery operations and the lines have now been opened.
Commuters were advised to make alternative transport arrangements for Wednesday morning to get to their destination on time.
Metrorail also arranged buses for commuters.
Metrorail management sincerely apologises for the inconvenience caused.
