AE Plastics reveals new name

A signage company re-brands to attract more business and make their mark in a new community.

AE Signage, formerly known as AE Plastics, celebrated 42 years in the signage industry and launched their new name on Friday in Wadeville.

For over a year, 190 Immelman Street in Germiston has been home to AE Signage and according to Christel de Waal, business development manager at the company, their new home boasts a 10 000 square foot factory and they are thrilled to be in the heart of the industrial hub.

The two directors, Des and Brandon Geraghty, bought the company in 1976 and kept the name from the previous owners.

Striving to help the community

“We are a signage company and the name was confusing to some people, so the name change saw to eliminate brand confusion as many associated it with a plastics manufacturing company.

“We also used the launch to introduce our customers and suppliers to the new look and familiarise everyone with our new home,” said Christel.
