Couple arrested for theft in Primrose

Primrose police apprehend man and woman for theft in Primrose.

The Primrose police recently arrested a man and woman, aged 34 and 19 years old respectively, for theft in Zannia Road.

The pair were arrested after a case was opened against them.

“The complainant alleged that he and his wife had left the accused at their home.

“When they returned the pair was still there but left the property under suspicious circumstances,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

The couple soon discovered that tools, a cellphone, dishes, a cutting machine, a gas stove, a gas bottle and glasses, all with an estimated value of R6 810, were missing.

“The complainant attempted to contact the suspects but they were nowhere to be found,” said Maome.

The suspects were soon found and arrested.

They have since appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court, where their case was postponed for plea and trial.
