Dinwiddie learner leads cops to alleged drug dealer

Following a school search at a Dinwiddie High School, a learner works with the police to identify an alleged drug dealer.

The Germiston SAPS, together with the EMPD, recently carried out a school search at Dinwiddie High School.

A learner found in possession of dagga opted to co-operate with the police as an informant and showed them where he had bought the drugs.

“We drove in an unmarked vehicle to Katlehong with the learner who identified the alleged dealer’s home to us.

“A few hours later we drove back to the house after dropping the learner back at school,” said Const Maxwell Mabunda, communications officer for the Germiston SAPS.

The police raided and searched the premises and found over 60 small dagga bags weighing a total of 6.1 grams.

The dealer was detained at the Katlehong Police Station on a charge of possession of dagga.

Over 60 bags of dagga were found at an alleged Katlehong drug dealer’s home by the Germiston SAPS.
