Fourteen nabbed in weekend operations

The Katlehong police arrested 14 suspects through several weekend operations.

The Katlehong police conducted several operations in their policing precinct between May 25 and 27.

The weekend operations headed up by members of the Katlehong Crime Prevention Unit led to the arrest of 14 suspects, charged with various offences.

Charges included rape, driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of suspected stolen property, shoplifting, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, pointing of a firearm and possession of dagga.

Katlehong SAPS’ acting station commander Col Nomthandeki Mthembu commended the officers on their successful operations, urging them to continue the hard work.

All of the arrested suspects appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court, where their cases were postponed for various reasons.
