Mothers honoured at special event
Rest-a-While Service Centre for the Elderly celebrated Mothers’s Day with a fun-filled morning.
Mothers were showered with love and attention at the Rest-a-While Community Centre for the Aged’s Mother’s Day celebration, recently.
The members of Rest-a-While were treated to a delicious meal and entertained with live music and a performance by the Rest-a-While line dancing group.

The day was a great success with both management and the members enjoying the fun-filled day.
Under the management of Trudy Carreira, who took the reins from Ward 36 councillor Wendy Morgan, the centre offers a number of fun activities and special days such as their Mother’s Day celebration.

Trudy appealed to the elderly of the community to join the centre as a member.
“The centre hosts several fun activities each week, including skills development mornings, bingo and line dancing,” she said.
