Roseacres’ nurses re-affirm their commitment by reciting the nurses’ pledge

Roseacres’ nurses celebrated for their commitment to the health profession.

Every year on May 12, nurses across the globe are celebrated for their compassion and hard work as stalwarts in the health profession.

This year, to commemorate International Nurses Day, Life Roseacres Hospital held a special luncheon for their nurses last Friday and invited clinical social worker and fatigue and sleep therapist Jeanette Theron, from Careways, as the keynote speaker.

The nursing manager at Roseacres, Nashira Cevikmen, addressed her colleagues with a message entitled “Be the nurse you want as a patient” before leading them into the famous Florence Nightingale pledge.

The nurses recited the pledge to re-affirm their commitment and took joy in being served a three-course meal and sparkling drinks.
