Gleeful annual Mother’s Day Cake Decorating Fun Day

Germiston mothers celebrated this past Mother’s Day with a cake-decorating fun day.

Pick n Pay Lambton and Pick n Pay Hazel Park hosted their annual Mother’s Day Cake Decorating Fun Day last Saturday.

Children together with their parents braved the cold morning and gathered outside the Pick n Pay in Lambton to decorate cakes.

Teamwork was also the order of the day as many siblings and bakers assisted each other with turning plain cakes into bright, tasty gifts using colourful sweets and icing.

“We are thankful for the turnout.

“We’ve realised that it’s a fun activity appreciated by both children and parents.

“However, this year it definitely looks like the parents enjoyed it more than the children.

“Perhaps we’ll host one for them in the near future,” said Enrico van Niekerk, a Pick n Pay representative.

Teamwork certainly made for dream work for siblings Unako and Kungawo Nxusani as they decorated their Mother’s Day gift together.
