TV stolen in Dawnview house break-in

The Primrose police apprehend two men for a Dawnview house break-in and theft.

Two men, aged between 23 and 32 years old, were recently arrested by the Primrose police for house break-in and theft.

The arrests were made after the complainant reported the crime to police.

“The complainant told officers while opening a case that he had decided to visit his mother in Dawnview on his way home from work.

“When he arrived at her house on Association Road he discovered that the security gate and wooden front door were broken open,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

He investigated further and discovered that a TV valued at R8 000 was missing.

“He called his mother, who was not home at the time of the crime, and asked her about the TV,” said Maome.

She was unaware of the incident.

Police, following several leads, arrested the men and took them to the Primrose Police Station where they were held, pending their appearance in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court.

The suspects have since appeared and their case was postponed for a bail application.
