Update: Local lass shines in competition

Five-year-old excels in Miss Elite SA competition.

It took months of hard work and preparation but the gorgeous Jessica Morgan de Vrye (5) is happy with the result.

The youngster, who is a Grade R learner at Daeraad Pre-Primary School and a Primrose resident, recently competed in the final of the Miss Elite SA competition.

The GCN spoke to Jessica before the final regarding her reasons for competing and she told us how much she was enjoying doing the charity work side of the competition (GCN, January 26).

“Being able to help people makes me happy,” said Jessica.

“I also like the crowns and sashes.”

Jessica Morgan de Vrye (5) and her modeling coach Cecilia van Eeden from Younique Modelling Academy show off all Jessica’s sashes and trophies.

“This was Jessica’s first major competition and she had to compete in the pro category,” said proud mom Nicole.

“She walked away with a number of titles and we are ecstatic and extremely proud.”
