Four nabbed for would-be theft of tyres in Wadeville

The Elsburg SAPS arrested four men last Saturday on a charge of theft.

Four men masquerading as hired help for a Wadeville company were arrested by the Elsburg SAPS at 4.45pm last Saturday after they attempted to steal tyres.

The men told a woman employee who entered the warehouse and caught them in the act of loading the tyres onto a truck that they had been employed by someone in the company to do the job.

Once they were finished they told her they would be paid.

She went to the manager and asked him if he gave permission to the unknown men to load the tyres but the manager said he had no knowledge of anyone being employed to load tyres.
