Two men held for vehicle break-in

Primrose police apprehend two men for theft out of a motor vehicle.

Primrose police recently arrested two men for theft out of a motor vehicle.

The arrest was made in Gorst Avenue, in Primrose.

“It is alleged that the complainant was called back to her vehicle, which she had parked while visiting friends, by her domestic worker which,” explained Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose SAPS.

The woman insisted that she had locked all her doors and that all the windows were closed when she left the vehicle.

“When officers arrived on scene they discovered that the vehicle’s driver’s door had been forced open.

“They asked the woman to check if anything had been taken from the vehicle and she confirmed her cellphone and cash were missing,” said Maome.

Police were able to apprehend the men for the crime. They were taken to the Primrose police station, where they were charged.

The suspects, aged 29 and 32, appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court, where the case was postponed for plea and trial.
