Police target criminals in Primrose

Primrose police share their latest arrest statistics.

The Primrose police have been hard at work attempting to curb crime in their precinct.

Between March 8 and 14 the team arrested 20 suspects for various offences.

This is according to the latest arrest statistics released by the Primrose Police Station.

Charges included possession of drugs, possession of an unlicensed firearm, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, common assault, house break-in and theft, rape, theft out of a motor vehicle, driving under the influence of alcohol, theft of a motor vehicle, theft general, malicious damage to property and warrant of arrest.

The Primrose SAPS station commander Col Albertina Vesi thanked everyone who contributed to the successful arrests.

Most of the suspects appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court, where some had their cases postponed for various reasons while others paid admission of guilt fines and were released.
