Busy weekend for Katlehong police

Katlehong police arrest 16 suspects through series of weekend operations.

It was a busy weekend for the Katlehong police’s Crime Prevention Unit with the arrest of 16 suspects.

The accused were arrested through operations, including but not limited to stop-and-search operations, held between March 9 and 11.

Suspects were arrested for various offences, including:

Assault: 2

Malicious damage to property: 3

Armed robbery: 2

Shoplifting: 3

Driving under the influence of alcohol: 3

Intimidation: 1

Possession of suspected stolen property: 1

Possession of dagga: 1

All of the arrested suspects appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court, where their cases were postponed for various reasons.
