Primrose arrest 39 suspects in a week

Primrose police share their latest arrest statistics.

The Primrose police were kept busy this week with the arrest of 39 suspects in the Primrose area, between March 1 and 7.

According to the latest statistics released by the station, the accused were arrested for various offences.

Charges included possession of drugs, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, rape, attempted murder, fraud, possession of suspected stolen property, driving under the influence of alcohol, malicious damage to property, house break-in and theft, common assault and shoplifting.

The Primrose SAPS station commander, Col Albertina Vesi, thanked everyone who contributed to the successful arrests.

Most of the suspects appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court, where some had their cases postponed for various reasons while others paid admission of guilt fines and were released.
