Alleged robber makes off with R26 000 worth of tools

Primrose police recently arrested a 30-year-old man for house break-in and theft.

A 30-year-old man was recently arrested by the Primrose police for house break-in and theft.

The man was arrested last Saturday after being linked to a house break-in and theft on Rietfontein Road, where R26 000 worth of tools were stolen.

“The complainant told police that he had left the house in the morning for work as he normally did, making sure all doors and windows were properly closed and locked.

“However, when he returned home he discovered his front door had been forced open and his tools stolen,” explained communications officer for the Primrose police, Sgt Styles Maome.

Police opened a case into the matter and were able to trace the suspect.

He has since appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court where his case was postponed for plea and trial.
