Ward 39 petitions handed over to council

Ward 39 councillor Alta de Beer hands a number of petitions to council.

Residents in Ward 39 recently signed a number of petitions pertaining to issues in their area.

Ward 39 councillor Alta de Beer handed the petitions to council during the recent council meeting.

The petitions were for the following:

• Proposed rezoning application of Portion 1 of Erf 261, Lambton was handed to the MMC for city planning, Clr Msakele Madihlabla.

• Street lights not working, maintained or fixed in Elsburg and Mimosa Park was handed to the city manager, Imogen Mashazi and the MMC for energy, Clr Tlisetso Nketle.

• Traffic calming measures in Sinclair Road, Lambton Gardens between Afrikaanse Hoërskool Germiston and Colin Mann School was handed to the MMC for roads and stormwater, Ald Robert Mashego.

• Investigation and report-back on the continuous power outages in Dinwiddie, Hazel Park, Estera, Mimosa and Elsburg was handed to the city manager, Imogen Mashazi and the MMC for energy, Clr Tlisetso Nketle.
