Katlehong police nab 28 suspects over weekend

Weekend operations held by members of the Katlehong Crime Prevention Unit led to the arrest of 28 suspects.

The Katlehong police arrested 28 suspects between February 16 and 18.

The arrests were made through a number of different operations held by members of the Katlehong Crime Prevention Unit and detectives from the Katlehong Police Station.

The accused were arrested on a number of different charges and taken to the Katlehong Police Station.

Crimes included assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, common assault, house break-in and theft, shoplifting, warrant of arrest, intimidation, murder, driving under the influence of alcohol and the possession of drugs (both dagga and nyaope).

They have since appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court, where their cases were postponed for various reasons.
