Update: Mission of faith dream one step closer

Official documentation for the use of the property has been lodged.

Joseph Bachfischer and the Imbali Foundation’s dream of turning a derelict building into a mission of faith (GCN, February 16) has taken a step in the right direction.

The building located on the corner of Webber Road and Power Street in Germiston South has been vacant for over 20 years.

The metro told the GCN that the building is owned by the Department of Public Works.

Bachfischer visited the Department of Public Works in Braamfontein on Wednesday and he was assisted to fill out official application documentation to apply for the use of the building.

“They told me there will be a delay of between three to six months before I will receive an answer,” Bachfischer said.
