The Primrose police’s Det Const Thabang Nawa was commended for his hard work which helped secure the conviction of 25-year-old Sthembiso Gumbe.
Gumbe was arrested for house break-in and theft in February 2017.

He was found guilty in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court and sentenced to three years direct imprisonment and was declared unfit to possess a firearm.
The Primrose SAPS station commander Col Albertina Vesi congratulated Nawa on his hard work and dedication and encouraged other detectives to learn from his example.

“Criminals must learn that you cannot run away from the long arm of the law.
“If you committed a crime the police will ensure you are brought to book,” she said.
