It was a busy weekend for the Katlehong police with the arrest of 16 suspects.
The accused were arrested during several different operations held by members of the Katlehong Crime Prevention Unit, with the help of the EMPD, between February 2 and 4.

The suspects were charged with a number of different crimes, which were:
• Assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm: 1
• Possession of stolen property: 1
• Theft out of a motor vehicle: 1
• Shoplifting: 1
• Malicious damage to property: 1
• Warrant of arrest – for house break-in and theft: 1
• Driving under the influence of alcohol: 5
• Possession of dagga: 1
All of the accused appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court where their cases were postponed for various reasons.
