Many matrics across the city rushed to their respective schools to collect their National Senior Certificate results, on Friday.
Among them was Brendon Meintjes, head boy of School of Achievement in 2017.
The young man was thrilled to discover that he had achieved not one but seven distinctions.
He received distinctions for Afrikaans (home language), English (additional language), mathematics literacy, life orientation, hospitality studies, tourism and geography.

Brendon would like to complete a Bachelors of Veterinary Science (BVSc) which will enable him to become wildlife veterinarian.
Unfortunately as the School of Achievement does not offer mathematics core and science as a subject he will be required to complete a bridging course first, before enrolling at university.
