Rest-a-While feels the Christmas spirit

Elderly celebrate Christmas in style at Rest-a-While Service Centre for the Elderly.

Everyone was in the Christmas spirit at Rest-a-While Service Centre for the Elderly, last Wednesday, at the centre’s annual Christmas lunch.

Guests were treated to a delicious Christmas lunch followed by a selection of tasty treats, all served to them in the beautifully decorated dining room.

Rest-a-While manager Trudy Carreira was thrilled with the turnout and thanked all the members and volunteers for a wonderful year.

“The centre’s executive committee, management and staff wish all our members and the community of Primrose a blessed festive season and a prosperous new year,” said Trudy.

She further thanked the community for their donations of groceries and toiletries which were used to build Christmas hampers for the elderly in need.

Ward 36 councillor Wendy Morgan, former manager at Rest-a-While, also joined in the festivities and wished all in attendance all the best for the festive season and commended Trudy and her team on a job well done in hosting another successful Christmas lunch.

The centre will be closed from December 15 to January 8 and the team is already looking forward to more fun-filled events at the centre in the new year.
