Statistics show increase in rape cases

Women need to be alert at all times – say police.

The Primrose police have issued a warning to the female residents of Primrose’s informal settlements.

“We are appealing to the female residents of the community to take special care and to not make themselves vulnerable to crime by abusing alcohol,” said communications officer for the Primrose police, Sgt Styles Maome.

The warning comes after statistics showed that rape cases have increased.

“We need the support of our community to make Primrose safe,” Maome said.
