Man allegedly assaults aunt after robbery

Primrose police arrested a 23-year-old man for house break-in and theft.

A 23-year-old man was arrested by Primrose police, last Thursday, for house break-in and theft.

The accused was arrested after his aunt opened a case against him.

She told police while opening the case that she had been at the local clinic with her mother and when she returned home, she discovered her house in Zinnia Lane had been broken into and money was missing.

“She immediately suspected her nephew and travelled to his house to confront him,” explained Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

“Before she could ask him about the incident he began to swear at her and attacked and assaulted her.”
