Four nabbed in daily stop-and-search

Katlehong police continue to curb crime in the Katlehong area through daily stop-and-searches.

The Katlehong police’s festive season is in full swing and as part of the on-going efforts to curb crime in the area, a stop-and-search was held last Monday.

The operation was held by members of the Katlehong Crime Prevention Unit and saw four suspects arrested.

The suspects were charged with various offences.

These included one charge of robbery, one charge of assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm and two charges of common assault.

The accused were taken to the Katlehong Police Station pending their appearance in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court.

The suspects have since appeared in court where their cases were postponed for various reasons.
