The Primrose police’s Det Const Mpho Makhubela commended for hard work and dedication.

Two men were recently found guilty of theft and sentenced to seven years in prison.

Bongani Khumalo (51) and Mabutho Magubane (29) were arrested due to Det Const Mpho Makhubela’s investigation into the theft of 282 truck tyres, valued at over R4-million.

The tyres were stolen from a Germiston warehouse between March 18 and April 23, last year.

The men were found guilty and sentenced in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court.

“We hope that with successes such as this the community will learn that they cannot escape the long arm of the law.

“If you commit a crime you will be brought to book,” said Vesi.
