Detective gets his man

Primrose SAPS detective, Const Thabang Nawa, was commended for his hard work on the case.

Primrose SAPS detective, Const Thabang Nawa, began investigating a case of possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition in July 2016.

As a result of Nawa’s investigation, 29-year-old Frank Mwosu was arrested and charged with the crime.

Mwosu was recently found guilty of the crime in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court.

As part of his sentencing, he was ordered to pay a R120 000 fine or spend six years in prison.

Primrose Police Station commander, Col Albertina Vesi, commended Nawa for his hard work and dedication in the investigation of this case.

She further encouraged other detectives to learn from his good example.
