The festive season is fast approaching, which means it is summer in the city.

This means warmer nights filled with stars.

With this in mind the Assumption Convent debutantes have decided to host a Movies under Moonlight fund-raiser in aid of the Germiston SPCA.

The festive season is no walk in the ‘bark’ for the SPCA, with families going away and fireworks being set off, the city’s fur friends need extra help and every little bit helps.

The event will be held at the Morninghill Country Club, located at 26 Hans Pirow Road, in Bruma, on December 8 and 9.

• Friday – December 8:

Doors will open at 4pm, with the movie The Holiday starting at 7pm.

• Saturday – December 9:

Doors will open at 2pm, with the movie The Grinch who stole Christmas starting at 7pm.
