Thirty-seven nabbed in Primrose

Primrose police share their latest arrest statistics.

In their continued efforts to curb crime in Primrose, the Primrose police arrested 37 suspects.

The accused were arrested between October 30 to November 5, according to the latest arrest statistics released by the station.

The suspects were charged with several different offences.

Charges included, possession of drugs, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, common assault, driving under the influence of alcohol, rape, dealing in liquor without a licence, possession of a dangerous weapon, possession of live ammunition, shoplifting, warrant of arrest and contempt of court.

The Primrose SAPS station commander, Col Albertina Vesi, thanked everyone who contributed to these successes.

Most of the suspects have appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court and their cases have been postponed for various reasons while others paid admission of guilt fines and were released.
