Man allegedly robbed and assaulted over debt

Primrose police arrest man for house break-in and theft and assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm charges.

A 42-year-old man was recently arrested by the Primrose police for both house break-in and theft and assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

The arrest was made after the victim of the attack and robbery reported the incident to police.

“The man told officers that the accused came to his shack to demand the money that he was owed.

“The man allegedly became angry when the victim told him he was only able to pay him at the end of the month,” explained Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

The accused allegedly punched the man and tried to push his way inside the shack, however, the complainant managed to overpower the accused and threw him out of the shack.
