Four speedsters arrested on N3 highway in Germiston

EMPD officers tackle speeding on notorious stretch of highway.

Notorious for high speeds and unsafe lane-changing with the potential of horrific multi-vehicle accidents occurring, the stretch of the N3 southbound between the Geldenhuys and Elands interchange was the focus of the EMPD High Speed Unit, last Sunday.

The special operation commenced at 5am and ended at 10am.

Four alleged speedsters were arrested and charged at the Germiston Police Station.

“A 30-year-old male driver in a blue BMW sedan with one male passenger was stopped and arrested after clocking 192km/h on this 120km/h stretch of the highway giving the lame reason of ‘just rushing home’.
