Katlehong police nab 26 in weekend operations

The Katlehong SAPS had a busy weekend with the arrest of 26 suspects for various crimes.

Officers from the Katlehong Police Station had a successful weekend with the arrest of 26 suspects in the area.

The accused were arrested in several police operations held by members of the Katlehong Crime Prevention Unit and the EMPD from October 27 to 29.

The suspects were charged with various charges.

Charges included assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, kidnapping, pointing a firearm, driving under the influence of alcohol, child neglect, intimidation, shoplifting, theft and for possession of drugs (including dagga and nyaope).

All of the accused appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court where their cases were postponed for various reasons.
