Flea market to bring community together

Local events coordinator wants to bring the community together.

Amanda van Straaten, the events coordinator at AK Events is hosting an inaugural community flea market, called the Summer Bash, on November 4.

The event is being hosted in conjunction with OK Foods Stone Arch and will take place outside the store at Stone Arch Square, in Castleview.

The flea market will take place from 9am to 3pm.

The idea behind the flea market is to bring the community together on a monthly basis.

There will be lots of stalls to browse through from food to home-made items.

On the day the community can also look forward to a display of vintage cars and racing cars, a fun ride for children (battery operated car), a display by Hyundai Germiston of the latest Hyundai models, live entertainment courtesy of Cowboy Kruger and others, DJ Paulvan, a beer garden by Waldo’s, and an SWS table.

For more information, contact Amanda on 072 541 8840.
