Busy week for Primrose police

Primrose police share their latest arrest statistics.

The Primrose police had their hands full, from October 9 to 15, with the arrest of 54 suspects.

The accused were charged for a number of different offences.

Charges included possession of drugs, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, common assault, driving under the influence of alcohol, reckless and negligent driving, rape, theft, theft out of motor vehicle, unlawful possession of precious metals, possession of a stolen motor vehicle, murder, dealing in liquor without a license, dealing in dagga, malicious damage to property, warrant of arrest and contempt of court.

The Primrose SAPS acting station commander, Lt Col Mbhazima Maswanganyi, thanked everyone who contributed to these successes.

Most of the suspects have appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court and their cases have been postponed for various reasons while others paid admission of guilt fines and were released.
