Roseacres’ exciting new chapter

Life Roseacres Hospital celebrates the official opening of the hospital’s newly refurbished maternity ward.

Bright, open, airy and welcoming.

These words could best describe the maternity ward at the Life Roseacres Hospital which recently received a total make-over.

The hospital officially opened the ward last Monday morning and the hospital’s management, doctors and maternity staff were over the moon.

The team proudly showcased the renovations to the ward to guests in attendance after Matron Sophie Sibisi, nursing manager at the hospital and Sr Makhosazana Mlauza, maternity unit manager, cut the ceremonial ribbon.

The hospital hopes the beautiful revamp will improve patients’ experiences and help staff better care for mommies and their newborns.

The maternity ward at Life Roseacres Hospital has a new look. The hospital hopes the revamp will improve patients’ experiences in the ward.

The new maternity ward now offers moms and dads six double rooms (two patients sharing), two single rooms (one patient per room) and one private family room (which allows new dads to share in the full experience by staying over in hospital with his new family).

All rooms are decorated with soft coloured curtains to offer a tranquil look and feel and are more spacious even when sharing.
