Metro working to restore power

Parts of Germiston left in the dark from early hours of the morning.

Parts of Germiston were left without power from the early hours of this morning (Friday) due to a power failure at the Germiston North Substation.

Some of the affected areas include Malvern East, Symhurst and Fishers’ Hill.

According to Ward 36 councillor Wendy Morgan Ekurhuleni technicians are currently working to restore power supply to the affected areas and some areas have already been restored.

The testing phase has begun to restore power  to the other areas.
