Joining hands to fight crime

Police and local security companies join hands in the fight against crime.

“Let us fight crime together.”

This was the sentiment shared by members of the Primrose police and personnel from local security companies, CPG and Zabalaza, during an operation held in Primrose recently.

“During the operation, the team under the leadership of acting station commander Lt Col Solly Maswanganyi held a stop-and-search during which several community members as well as vehicles were searched.

“The operation’s aim was to raise the visibility of police and security companies in the area as a deterrent to criminals,” explained Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

Maswanganyi thanked everyone involved in the fight against crime and did not exclude community patrollers who sacrifice their time to keep the area safe.

“Together we will make our precinct the safest place to be,” he said.
