During a recent patrol of the Makause informal settlement, the Primrose police arrested two men.
The men, aged 45 and 47, were charged with dealing in liquor without a licence when they failed to provide their liquor licences to police.

Both men were taken to the Primrose Police Station, where they were formally charged and their taverns closed.
“We continue to have a serious problem with liquor and illegal liquor sales in the informal settlements.
“In an effort to stop this problem, we will continue to host similar operations in all of the informal settlements,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.
Both men have since paid an admission of guilt fine and were released with a warning.
