Man allegedly attacks girlfriend

The Primrose police recently arrested a 32-year-old man for domestic violence.

A 32-year-old man was arrested by the Primrose police, last Saturday, after allegedly attacking his girlfriend.

The victim explained to officers when opening a case of domestic violence, that the pair had been at home, in Heath Street, when the accused received a phone call.

“She claimed that she did not know who had called.

“When he put down the phone he allegedly became angry and violent and began to beat her,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

The woman managed to escape the attack and ran to the Primrose Police Station for help.

The man was arrested and will appear in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court soon, on a charge of domestic violence.

“We are appealing to the community to seek help when they have problems in their relationships and not to act out violently,” said Maome.
