Breast cancer in the spotlight at local hospital

An informative breast cancer awareness workshop is set to be held.

Life Roseacres Hospital invites the community to attend a Breast Cancer Awareness Workshop.

The event takes place this Saturday from 10am to noon (registration starts at 9.30am) at the Coffee on Call coffee shop at the hospital, situated on the corner of Castor Road and St Josephs Street in Symhurst.

Dr Leiyah Bassa will be the presenting oncologist and will speak about breast cancer awareness and screening.

Patricia Dodgen, a cancer survivor and volunteer at Bosom Buddies, will speak about overcoming breast cancer and beautiful Bosom Buddies products will be on sale to support the campaign.

Entrance is free but booking is essential as limited space is available.

Light refreshments will be served.
