Stolen vehicle found abandoned in police roadblock

A bakkie stolen during a recent Jet Park business robbery was recently found in Primrose.

During a recent roadblock in Pretoria Road, in Primrose, police recovered a vehicle stolen during a Jet Park business robbery.

“Officers were holding a roadblock in the area when they noticed a stationary vehicle,” said the communications officer for the Primrose police, Sgt Styles Maome.

The vehicle’s hazard lights were on, the engine running and the keys in the ignition, but there was no sign of a driver.

“While officers looked for signs of ownership, they received a report over the radio about a vehicle, with the same registration, that had been stolen during a business robbery.

“The vehicle was towed to the Van Ryn Deep vehicle pound while the investigation continues,” said Maome.
